Inspiring idea: a vertical "panorama"

I like panorama shots a lot, but publishing them on a blog is bit of a problem, because of their width.
I usually can't go any further that 643 pixels, which will lead to a very small representation of the "classic" panorama.

Now this morning on Twitter I found how Abdul Rehman took a different view and simply made his panorama vertical, leading to a result I think is very inspiring. That's why I'm happy to share it here - you might need to do some scrolling, but now I can share almost 100% of the original - and it gives an incredible 3D feel as well!

The idea is not new in itself - you'll find some great vertical panoramas here and some unbelievable (180 degrees!)  here, but to be honest I never thought of it myself and my guess is I'm not alone - can't wait to find the right place to try this myself.

So I hope to be able to share some more of these vertical panoramas in the future, and please don't hesitate to send me one! :-) You will find all of  Abdul Rehman shots on Flickr.
