Meet Ms. Jen - a fanatic mobile photographer
Suddenly this morning, I discovered a "kindred spirit" once more, this time on the other side of the Great Divide, in California even. Someone who has been fanatic about mobile photography, and has always been loyal to Nokia smartphones to carry around and document her life with. For almost 10 years now, starting with the Nokia 7610. Amazing.
"She" is Black Phoebe aka Ms. Jen - you can follow her on Twitter, where I recently saw some of the great shots she took with her Nokia 808 PureView. This is the one that caught my attention - and made me visit her site.
On here site, much to my amazement, I saw she has been using Nokia smartphones for her mobile photograpy for so many years already! And not "just" the N8 (for instance). In the " about" section I found the complete list....
Ms. Jen has been taking shots with... (are you ready?)
Nokia 7610 (Dec. 2004 - Dec. 2006)
Nokia 6680 (Dec. 2006 - May 2007)
Nokia N80 (June 2006 - June 2007)
Nokia N95 (July 2007 to Jan 2008)
Nokia N82 (Feb 2008)
Nokia N95 (March 2008 to 2011, still occasionally used)
Nokia N82 (Sept. 2008 to Feb. 2009)
Nokia N97 (July 2009)
Nokia N86 (Sept. & Oct. 2009)
Nokia N97 (Nov. 2009 to 2011, still occasionally used)
Nokia N900 (Nov. 2009, May 2010 to present)
Nokia N86 (April 2010 to 2011)
Nokia N8 (Oct 2010 to June 2012)
Nokia N9 (March 2012 to present)
Nokia 808 PureView (June 2012 to present)
Wouldn't you just love to be able to say so as well? :-)
True, she has a thing for Nikon too (FM3a, D70s and Nikon D800), but the amount of Nokia smartphones she has been using is quite amazing - no less than 15, as you can see including the brilliant N95, N86, N900, N8, N9 and - of course - the Nokia 808 PureView.
Now Ms. Jen has thousands of shots on Flickr, organised in different sets. From those, I will link once more to her Nokia 808 PureView photos. You will see she is very diverse in her photography - more "documenting" her life than just sharing the artful shots (which are there, too by the way).
So I just suggest to go and have a look there, for now I will just conclude with her shot of a pair of bottle brush flowers.
