PureView on a gorgeous autumn Sunday
This afternoon I went for a long walk with my wife - I just brought the Nokia Lumia 1020, she brought the Samsung Galaxy Camera she's testing out to see if she likes the camera (for some reason she has the iPhone 4S as smartphone :-)
The weather this afternoon was absolutely fantastic - very sunny, quite windy but not too cold. Perfect for a long stroll through the forrest - we're lucky to live in an area with lots of green, heather and other great stuff to capture on an afternoon like this.
I was extremely pleased with a few shots from my Nokia Lumia 1020 (I notice I just love to write "Nokia" as long as it's possible :-), so I'm happy to share them here. I hope you'll enjoy them as well, of course - and I've got a few unexpected shots for you too.
First, a simple close-up of a tree:
A leaf refuring to lose his colour...
Red berries in the sun.
Beautiful autumn purple
Close-up of the heather's small purple flowers
Mushrooms and heather
Now in case you ever wonder how I get a shot like the one above, here's how my wife captured me making it. Here is Marc @PureViewClub in action, as captured with the Samsung Galaxy Camera :-)
Next: an extreme short comparison of the Nokia Lumia 1020 and Samsung Galaxy Camera in a 16:9 shot of the same mushrooms-and-heather shot. Now I know the discussion about too much saturation and less realistic colours all too well, but I do like the first shot (from the Nokia Lumia 1020) a lot better...
Last two shots, getting on the ground again to capture these two beauties - one with, and one without flash. Looking forward to your opinion on these two as well.
Personally I like the first one best, but with flash you even get more crispy details from this beautiful autumn plant... So I just decided to share them both and as always I'm looking forward to your opinion.
You know where to find all the original shots in this post, don't you? :-)
