All (!) the specifications of the Nokia Lumia 1520

Many have claimed to have published "all the specs" of the Nokia Lumia 1520, but there is more as you will read in this post, in which you will read all (!) the specs.

We already know the Nokia Lumia 1520 will be a beast of a smartphone. A no less than 6 inch Clearblack LCD Full HD PureMotion HD+ screen with  "super sensitive touch".

It does weigh quite a bit with 206 grams, but that's still lighter than the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, the "phablet" that just hit the market (which didn't strike me as "overweight "when I held it the first time by the way)

The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a bit smaller the Sony's device too, with 162.8 x 85.4 mm, although it's a tiny bit thicker with (only) 8.6 mm (that's practically the same as the Lumia 925!).

The battery offers a whopping 3400 mAh, wireless charging is built-in and it supports LTE up to 150 Mbps.

It must be blazing fast with Qualcomm's 2.2 GHz Quadcore Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) the same one as used in the LG G2, Sony Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra). It has 2GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and yes!, it has a slot for micro-SD (up to 64GB).

It has four HAAC microphones which should garantuee Nokia's "rich recording" (although the use of those words seems to have vanished). Audio is captured clearly and from all different directions, as shown during the presentation in Abu Dhabi.

As far as connectivity goes you'll find anything you can wish for I think: NFC, A-GPS+GLONASS, WLAN (2.4/5Ghz) a/b/g/n/ac, μUSB, BT 4.0, Accelerometer, Proxy, Magnetometer, Gyro. And of course it has an FM-radio.

IMAGING
Here at the PureViewClub of course, we're  all especially interested in the camera. I guess we all knew the Nokia Lumia 1520 will have a 20MP camerasensor, Pureview Optical Image Stabilisation, the aperture is f/2.4.

It has no Xenon flash, but dual LED flash. The Nokia Lumia 1520 shoots video in Full HD (1080p), the front camera has a 1.2 MP sensor (and "Skype HD" 720p).

A few more numbers to compare it with the Nokia Lumia 1020 in detail:
- The sensor size is smaller: 1/2'5" (25mm2) instead of 1/1'5" (50mm2).
- Pixel technology is the same as on the Nokia Lumia 1020: 1.12um BSI Toshiba.
- The 20MP sensor shoots 19MP in 4:3 and 17MP in 16:9
- The camera offers 2x "hi-resolution" (= lossless) zoom in 5MP (3x in 1080p video).
- Optics design is the same as in the Lumia 1020: 1 glass + 5 plastic lenses.
- Aperture: F2.4 on the Lumia 1520 (F2.2 on the 1020)
- OIS is the same system: Barrel shift with 1/3s in auto mode
- Low light (module SNR10): 14 lux (9 lux on the 1020)

In general, it's no surprise the camera specs are a bit below those of the Nokia Lumia 1020, (but above the specs of the Nokia Lumia 925). I was surprised to see the pixel technology is the same as on the Lumia 1020 (I kind of hoped Nokia would have chosen a bit bigger pixel size). And I can already hear people scream about the lack of a Xenon flash.

Other than that, it's great to see the Lumia 1520 finally offers a slot for micro-SD and offers the best processor currently available in the market - using this Qualcomm quadcore processor really should mean a giant leap forward for the use of Windows Phone.

I'm really looking forward to this device - not just I love a big screen, but I'm curious as to how well this 20MP camera will perform (compared to Sony Xperia Z1, for one thing). And I'm looking forward to use the new "Nokia Camera" application, although I will probably end up only using Nokia Pro Cam in there.

I also think like the Story Teller application is quite charming, although I do remember seeing my own shots on the map of my Nokia 808 PureView already :-) Finally, it's great to see Vine and - finally! - Instagram is coming to Windows Phone as well.

That's all for now, I hope to be able to add some shots soon - and remember you read some of this here first :-)
