The Nokia 808 PureView is not just a new cell phone, we feel it’s a revolutionary new compact camera. It’s the first device offering PureView technology and Rich recording for amazing audio quality.
And it has the famous Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash.
It´s the first compact camera enabling you to directly share your greater-than-ever mobile pictures with your social networks, not only over via WiFi but also over your mobile network. So you can check Facebook and Twitter on the road as well. And of course, you can make phone calls with it. Also, it will guide you during your trips with free Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive. Worldwide. On the road, the FM Radio keeps you informed. It's versatile and extremely multifunctional.
It’s not iOS. It’s not Android. It’s not even Windows Phone. So: what is it? Symbian used to be the leading platform for smartphones, supported by all important cell phone companies. Symbian is gone now, and Nokia recently turned it into “Nokia Belle”, making it easy to use on touchscreen devices.
True, it does not offer the amount of applications Android, iOS or even WP7 do. But it's a fast and stable OS, and the Nokia 808 PureView is not about a huge amount of apps and games: it´s all about great pictures, movies and sound quality. And it offers all the tools you need to share your passion for great pictures with your social networks.
Moreover, the battery of a device running on Nokia Belle usually lasts much longer on one charge than smartphones on the other important platforms. We´re not talking hours of difference, but days even – depending on your own use (your mileage may vary). That's another advantage to be cherished.
