National Geographic features Nokia 808 PureView for Photo Tips app (updated)

On the exact same day (!) the Nokia 808 PureView was announced in Barcelona, Nokia developers featured an app on YouTube, by the internationally renowned magazine National Geographic.

In this video, they are already working with the Nokia 808 PureView to promote their Photo Tip app. So the device was out there somewhere before the device was even known to the world at all! Quite daring, I must say - I remember the total surprise from Nokia at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year.

National Geographis claims the app "provides a collection of the best advice and techniques from National Geographic's legendary photographers, so individuals can learn how to enhance their photo-taking ability."

Further down the presentation on YouTube it says: "The app is available in seven different languages and targets multiple devices -- NFC capabilities will be added to the app soon. 'What is exciting about this application and Nokia's reach is that it enables us to reach out to this whole user base. Right from the beginning they will be able to understand the essence of taking photography in a whole new way,' says Aaron Kohn, Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at National Geographic.

From the looks of it, it will be one of the first apps on my future Nokia 808 PureView, next to the new Vimeo app, of course. The National Geographic Photo Tip app itself however, is much older, as you can see in this review from All About Symbian, from december 2011. You can view the whole presention below.
