A nice thought... PureViewClub Friends
I don't know where this will be going, but I like the fact people asking me to share their pictures here at the PureViewClub. They're sending me pictures more and more often, all made with the Nokia 808 PureView, of course.
Some name @PureViewClub in a tweet, so they know I see what they're sharing. Others send me pictures by e-mail directly. They like what's happening at the club, and I am grateful for the appreciation. So why not share on my Flickr account what these friends capture with their Nokia 808? Here's the first:
Today I made a special set " PureViewClub Friends", where I will share the pictures sent to me, but as for now: only if I think they're worth sharing... Now, that's kind of tricky nowadays, since everyone can share everything everywhere, right? So why am I being so picky?
First, I can't possibly publish everything sent to me. I don't have enough time to do so, I'd really like to ask for your understanding. If you want to share whatever you like, Flickr is the place to go, and no, I'm not even going to think about competing with Flickr (or Facebook for that matter :-)
Second: I just like to be picky. I like you to think of it as a compliment when you see the watermark "PureviewClub Friends" on your picture.
The first pictures - the ones you see in this post - are shot by Nikhil Joshi from Mumbai (India) on his trip to Kashmir. He wrote me he left his DSLR at home and brought his Nokia 808 PureView, and he didn't regret the decision. I'm not sure if I will ever live to see Kashmir, so I love the opportunity to share his pictures at the club (in a deliberate random order).
Now, these are not all pictures I selected from what Nikhil Joshi sent me from his trip to Kashmir. You will find them on the PureViewClub Friends set on Flickr I mentioned before, to leave you some surprises too.
Let's just see where it goes from here. But whatever you do, don't get mad at me when I don't select your pictures... Time is limited, as I've written already. Hope you like the idea though! :-)
