Full Moon... We saw you standing alone...

I know, it's not exactly the same  songline, but it is too nice not to quote and change a bit. Because yesterday lots of full moons were shot with the Nokia 808 PureView. I tried it myself as well last night, but the Nokia 808 PureView doesn't offer a cloud-filter, alas :-)

First I saw this in my timeline, @SawanBruins shot this without special lens or even a tripod - quite a steady hand i'd say.

He added: ISO=50, ND filter on, flash on (to compensate the long shuttertime of the iso/nd combination) and 34mpix for zoom... And don't forget to put the camera on infinity to get the moon sharp!

Than I saw the full moon in Lebanon, shot by @JadTermsani...

Still not at its sharpest, but let me tell you, I've tried this on holidays in France and it is not easy to achieve shots like these. And just before going to sleep - checking my mail for the last time - I received these amazing shots with the Nokia 808 PureView... Another jaw dropping experience.

They were shot by Faisal Baset who wrote: "I just took a photo of tonight's full moon with my Nokia 808 Pureview and an astronomical telescope D=50mm, F=350mm + K12mm Field 48 lens". These shots are no less than stunning I think... This one is cropped from the original...

And closer yet, using zoom...

And these are just the smaller versions. I advise you to check his  Flickr photostream for them as well! Thank you for sharing this with us Sawan, Jad and Faisal! I'm sure it will inspire a lot of us.
