It is much more than a year ago, that I published as diverse shots as I could think of with the Nokia 808 PureView. On june 18th last year I introduced my readers to Mr. and Mrs. Bearded Dragon from Australia, in a pet shop in my neighbourhood.
Taking a break from the comparisons between the two 41MP PureView Nokia cameras, here are a few "under water" shots I took with the Nokia Lumia 925 in the famous aquarium of La Rochelle in France.
Optical Image Stabilisation really did some great work here I think. I pressed the Nokia Lumia 925 firmly at the glass (also possible since I carry it in a cover from soft plastic) and put the camera setting on "sports", since fish really move too fast to capture them without it.
Steve called his post "Making jaws drop with the Nokia 808 PureView" and that's exactly what happened to me just now - it's nothing but amazing, and you'd say I'm used to the power of the Nokia 808 by now...
Of course, it started as a pun on "PureView", but it seems that my #PrrrView hashtag on Twitter has somewhat caught on the past weeks: dedicated to cats captured with the Nokia 808 PureView or Nokia Lumia 920.
To start the week with a smile, here's a short video I edited from some curious funky chicken I captured up close with the Nokia 808 PureView, on a cold and grey Sunday in Belgium (see previous post).
I don't think there's anything pretentious about this, although it's remarkable to see how sharp the image is (with some focussing on my part in between). And I will always be surprised by the quality of Rich Recording... Choose 1080p (FullHD) if your connection is fast enough - and enjoy :-)
