Fresh French Fruit & Vegetables!

This sunny morning on a very hot marketplace, I asked the owner of the local fruit and vegetable shop if I could take some pictures of his merchandise. He must have been quite surprised to see me taking pictures of just about everything he had in store - and he was completely surprised when I showed him some of the results: "I didn't know Nokia made cameras nowadays?"

I hope you'll like these shots as well, I think I picked the best sixteen. The originals are of course much more detailed than the resized versions I can present you here. As soon as I have a blazing fast internet connection again, I will upload them to my flickr account. For now, these will have to do. Enjoy, hope these make you want to cook! :-)

Some simple summer snapshots with the Nokia 808 PureView

As you know I'm trying to keep the site updated and keeping you informed via Twitter, but as you might also know (from Jack Nicholson in "The Shining"): all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So I'm relaxing as well and of course there is hardly a better way to relax than with the Nokia 808 PureView in your hands :-)

I have this device for exactly seven weeks today and I can't begin to explain how thrilled I am by it still. The quality is jaw-dropping and not just to me. And it has that effect with the simplest of subjects. I promiss I will get all originals (a lot in full resolution as well) as soon as I have a proper internet connection, for now you'll have to enjoy the 640 x 360 versions.

A bee at work in the morning sun

Some time at the beach

Nothing pretentious, just three nice shots from the beach. Nothing more, nothing less. Nice sunny weather today, but the water is still verrrrry cold. But who needs to swim if you got a Nokia 808 PureView in your hands? :-)

All earth's creatures, great and small...

This afternoon I noticed a very little snale on a small leaf, already carrying his house on his miniature back. I don't think I ever saw one this size in fact. So I got took the Nokia 808 PureView to try to get a nice close-up.

Checking the result, I suddenly noticed another small friend on the same leaf, one I hadn't noticed at all in the first place. We've noticed the Nokia 808 PureView can work like a microscope, but this one surprised me a bit still. Guess I need new glasses.

Time warps with picture editing on the Nokia 808 PureView

Sometimes you have the chance to make a picture of something really old. Like in this case a classic plane. I have no idea what it's called like in English, but you know what I"m talking about since you've seen a picture before reading this ;-) Now using two of the "effects" in the edit menu of the Nokia 808 PureView, you can really create some kind of a visual timewarp.

Here's what I mean, this is in 2012.
